We are excited to formally announce Mr. Troy Arceneaux as our new Varsity Boys Soccer Coach. Troy is married to Lauren and the father of two current Panthers.
His volunteer experience includes serving as a coach for Iberia Soccer Association, Evangeline Little League, & Coteau Church’s Family Night Baseball. He also served as a coach for the NISH JV Girls and assisted Varsity Girls’ soccer, CHS Middle School Boys’ soccer, Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys’ soccer and as a Dynamo Juniors Academy team trainer. His coaching career began in a family night church t-ball league in Coteau then moved on to Evangeline Little League & Iberia Soccer Association. He helped coach and was an active board member for ISA.
Our interest slowly started to change as our family was introduced to soccer. As my boys interests in the sport grew so did mine. I started researching the game and learning as much as I could. That quickly escalated into obtaining additional training & certification in the sport. I have since earned my LHSAA High School certification to coach High School Soccer.
Mr. Arceneaux achieved the USSF National (US Soccer Federation) ‘E’ & ‘D’ licenses and is currently working on the ‘C’ license. He also earned certifications through National Federation of High School Sports in Concussions in Sports, First Aid, Health & Safety, & Teaching & Modeling Player Behavior. Having worked with his predecessor for a few years, Mr. Arceneaux is fully prepared for a smooth transition and plans to grow and enhance the CHS soccer program.
